Shirley offers a great deal of history and tradition in her teachings. She holds the rank of 3rd degree black belt in the Okinawan style of karate, Shorin Ryu Matsumura Seito. Shirley was fortunate to have received her instruction in Okinawa by world renouned Master Fusei Kise and Master Hohan Soken, who has since passed. Master Kise is the sole holder of the highest rank of 10th degree black belt for our style in both karate and kobudo (weapons). |
